Join a VIRTUAL SONGWRITING EXPERIENCE with Vermont Singer/Songwriter JON GAILMOR, Saturday May 9, 3-4:30 PM
You've made Giant Puppets and filled Fairlee with Suns, all from the safety of your homes. Now let's write a song together, a song about Fairlee!
What makes the town special, what topics come to mind for lyrics, what people would you like to celebrate? Think about it, jot down your ideas, then join singer/songwriter Jon Gailmor and your fellow lyricists at 3:00 Saturday afternoon using the Zoom video-conferencing platform to create the lyrics and bring the song to life with Jon's accompaniment. No singing or musical experience is necessary. All Fairlee residents and friends of Fairlee are welcome.
Jon Gailmor has lived in Vermont since 1977 but performed all around the world, including a tour with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra. He has released seven albums, represented Vermont at the 25th anniversary of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, and in 1996 carried the Olympic Torch through Brattleboro on its way to Atlanta. In addition, he presents songwriting residencies and workshops and even creates and delivers singing telegrams.
