Rivendell District Voting Information for Budget Revote Tuesday, June 30

Rivendell Voters,

Thanks to the many of you who have already mailed in your ballots for the budget revote. If you have done so, you can stop reading here. If you haven't yet and wish to vote, here are your options:

1) Bring your completed ballot, in the stamped return envelope, to your town post office by 3:30 PM Tuesday.  Put the envelope in the local box or deliver in hand to the postal worker to ensure it gets right to the town mail bin. Officials will collect ballots promptly at 3:30 PM.

2) You may deliver to your town clerk's drop box (Fairlee and West Fairlee) by 3:30 PM. Vershire and Orford voters please arrange directly with your town clerk.

3) You may drop off your completed ballots at the drive-up/drop off in front of the Rivendell Academy Middle School entrance. Follow signs, there will be a pop-up on the left-hand fork of the driveway.  Please wear a mask/face covering for this drop-off.  This drop-off will be open from 5 to 7 PM (Tuesday, June 30).

4) If you do not have a ballot and wish to vote, you may vote in person, between 5 and 7 PM  (Tuesday, June 30.) Park near the middle school entrance and walk in.  We are asking that everyone coming into the building please wear a mask or face covering.  This is to protect both you and the poll workers. We will have a limited supply of masks at the door.   Signage will direct you to the voting place for your town.  Once you have voted you are asked to exit at the far end of the corridor so that we preserve one-way traffic as much as possible.  We can bring a ballot out to you if you request.

If you are not registered you may do so in person, and vote.  Please come as early within the 5-7 PM timeframe as possible.

Ballots that reach the Town Clerk's office after 3:30 PM on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 or are brought to Rivendell Academy after 7 PM on Tuesday, June 30, WILL NOT BE COUNTED.

Results will be posted on the Rivendell website and/or by list-serv post as soon as possible, probably Tuesday evening.

Thanks for your help in keeping this vote as safe and efficient as possible!

David Hooke, District Moderator
Tami Sullivan, District Clerk
