Margot Livesey will talk about her elegant new novel, The Boy in the Field, with long-time friend Susan Brison, a Professor of Philosophy at Dartmouth
on Tuesday, August 18 at 7 pm, online.
The Boy in the Field tells the tale of teenagers who discover a boy lying
in a field, bloody and unconscious, one September afternoon in 1999. Thanks
to their intervention, the boy’s life is saved. In the aftermath, the three
siblings are irrevocably changed.
“Every character rings true; every observation and reaction feels real.
Braiding three separate views of the same incident, Livesey weaves a
masterful tapestry of emotion and action focused on the indelible impact of
random events.” - Booklist, starred review
