We need your help! COVID has hit us hard and we don’t qualify for State or

Federal CARES grant money (because we have been 100% volunteer-run). We
know that on the other side of this pandemic, The Space will be needed more
than ever in order to support remote workers and community connections. In
order to make it through this, we have to rely on the support of people
like YOU to continue to pay our monthly bills (e.g. lease, electricity,
fiber, water). Please participate, support other participants, and share
broadly. And most importantly, have fun with this event! Thank you so much
for your support.
When you register for The Space On Main’s Race for The Space, you’ll make a
one-time donation and share this link (thespaceonmain.org/race) with your
friends and family so they can support you. Then between August
15–September 7, 2020, it’s up to you! Choose a time and location to take to
the water and paddle for a purpose. If you choose to participate in our
competitive paddles, track your time and submit your results by midnight on
September 7, 2020. All results will be posted to the race site by midnight
on September 9, 2020. One last thing! We want to see your pictures! Please
tag #raceforthespace2020 and @spaceonmainvt on Facebook/Instagram and we
will feature you on the race site!
