Residents of BRADFORD, Corinth, West Fairlee, and Vershire are together holding a Community Workshop at the Vershire Town Center Building, November 4-9 to fabricate about 200 insulating window inserts. We are doing this as part of the nonprofit WindowDresser Program. This is our first year out and we welcome volunteers with or without experience -the process can be learned in minutes and it is kind of fun as well. As a volunteer for a four-hour shift, you will join friends and neighbors (socially distanced, masked and vaccinated) and skillfully churn out professional-quality interior storm window inserts. Although It is too late to order a set of low-cost inserts for yourself this season, it is NOT too late to see how they are made, learn how they work, and be first in line to equip your own home next year. The transparent pine-framed inserts are a highly effective way to reduce the use of heating fuel in Vermont’s old houses. Do a little something to meet the challenge of climate change! sign up to volunteer at https://signup.com/go/oSbbtXN or call Susanna at 802-222-3460
