Week of January 30th, 2023

 CIRQUE CABARET SPONSORS ARE NEEDED.
As you may already know, UVCC is hosting Cirque Cabaret: a benefit show [Link] on February 18th at the Northern Stage Barrette Center for the Arts.
All proceeds will benefit our programs and keep us going through 2023!

We just purchased one more portable aerial rig (YEAH!) and have new crash mats coming soon, so we are on our way to a safer and easier setup in the coming year.

UVCC is looking for sponsors to help us defray the costs of producing this benefit show (it is not free for us!) and realized we have many small business owners and employees already in our UVCC Community!

SPONSORHIP LEVELS 2023 [Link]

If you or someone you know would like to become a Sponsor for our Cabaret, we would appreciate it since we cannot do this without the generous support from donors. We have several levels of sponsorships, various advertising opportunities, and a few tickets to the show, depending on your level of support. There is something for everyone in every budget.

If monetary sponsorship is outside your budget, we would appreciate help spreading the word about our Cabaret, camps, workshops, and Sponsorship opportunities within your groups! Helping to spread the word about UVCC is more beneficial than you know, and we rely on your word of mouth to continue reaching new campers, families, businesses, and markets who may enjoy our programs, shows, and events.

Wanted: Volunteers to help establish a civilized conversation group for the Upper Valley.
The group would meet every other week to have honest, respectful, and
sometimes passionate discussions about controversial topics such as
politics, public affairs, religion, and philosophy. It is hoped that the
group would attract diverse people from different parts of the
political spectrum and varying backgrounds.  We would talk, listen, learn
from one another, and have fun doing it.

For seventeen years, a group called “Civilized Conversation - The
Politics, Religion, and Philosophy Discussion Group of San Diego” has been
meeting in San Diego. I participated in it when living there and would like
to assemble a small steering group to plan for setting up a similar group
here in the Upper Valley.

I encourage you to take a look at San Diego Civilized Conversation's web
site at: https://civilizedconversation.wordpress.com/about/.
[Link] While there, you might
check out the wide variety of topics they have covered thru the years.

If you think you might like to help establish such a group here in the
Upper Valley, please email me at civilizedconver@gmail.com.

Bradford Teen Center: ISO of Gift Cards

We love gift cards! Did you know that gift cards are very helpful for us to have on hand here at The Hub? We love grocery cards, cash cards, Amazon cards, gas cards, ect. Gift cards can come in handy when we find ourselves in a pinch, or when we need prizes to motivate teens to engage in enriching programming, or when someone may just need a helping hand to get back on track! Next time you walk past that gift card rack at the store, consider throwing a couple in your cart for your friendly neighborhood teen center! Gift cards can be dropped off during Hub open hours, or mailed to us at:

Peyton Place Restaurant 30th Anniversary Year!

This first month of the New Year has been a quiet time of reflection and
humility. We opened our little basement restaurant in Bradford, Vt 30 years
ago, April 19,1993. We had just returned from St Croix, USVI and a 6 month
restaurant gig. Our move to Orford, NH in 2002 afforded us the luxury of
home and business under the same roof. The Mann House and Tavern which
currently houses our buisness has turned the hands of time for 250
years. What a year!  We are looking  through our menus and will take a
little culinary journey back in time. We will have an open house reception
this Summer to celebrate and have an opportunity to spend time with you.
Thank you to all who have been with us through the years!! Your hearty
appetites and your loyalty sustained us through good and
tough years. If you have not been to Peyton Place, we look forward to
meeting you. Live Music begins Thursday, 1.26, from 6:00 to 8:30.
This will be a very small venue with acoustic singles or duos only. Very
chill, quiet, and not a show.
Music for the sake of music. Tavern Music 1.26.2023 through April 27.2023.

With a warm and heartfelt Thank you!!
Cheers to 30 years!!
